Meet Jenny, The Founder of Eversman Customs

Laura: First things first, tell me about your business? What do you create and who do you create it for?

Jenny: I create leather products for the home, women, and men.

Laura: How did you first get started in your industry?

Jenny: My husband makes custom knives and I make his sheaths for that. I had left over leather so I started with earrings and branched out from there.

Jenny: I really do enjoy the leather work that I do. And I married my high school sweetheart.

Laura: What do you struggle with most when it comes to running your own business?

Jenny: Paperwork, I hate it.

Laura: How do you manage the stress and overwhelm of running your own business?

Jenny: When I feel stressed or overwhelmed I take a day off and relax.

Laura: Who influences or inspires you the most in regards to your industry?

Jenny: I take inspiration from a lot of different people. I can’t really think of one in particular.

Laura: You have “a worthy brand,” I can see that, but why do you feel your brand is worthy? How do you remind yourself of your worth to continue building your business each day, how do you remind yourself, you are worth it!

Jenny: I feel my brand is worthy because of the way it makes my customers feel. They feel special and unique. I remind myself each day to keep positive, stay true to myself, stay true to my message that everyone deserves to feel special and unique. I am worth all my hard work.

Laura: And last… if you could give new or struggling entrepreneurs one piece of advice, what would it be?

Jenny: I would say to keep at it, it’s hard work but it’s worth it when you have customers that love your items and come back for more.
